Colosseum in Rome to be cleaned and restored in 2010 – 2011

Great news I read in the Sunday Times that the exterior walls of the  Colosseum in Rome are to be restored and cleaned at a cost of £18m. The monument will also be permanently illuminated. The project will start later this year and last about 12 months.
